(Camarillo)Expires05/01/2025DescriptionWe are seeking a
forward-thinking and results-oriented Director of Curriculum &
Instruction to lead the development, enhancement, and assessment of
curricula across multiple academic programs. The prime
responsibility is to assist, facilitate and manage an appropriate
program of studies and curriculum policies for the student body
while also providing individual support to our middle school
students in relation to their academic, executive functioning and
behavioral needs.Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and instructional
leaders to ensure curriculum coherence across grade levels and
subject areas
- Lead curriculum reviews through collaborative teams and
committees of teachers and administrators
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to teachers to improve
classroom instruction and student engagement
- In partnership with Principal, coordinate the ongoing
implementation of WASC and Strategic Plan goals, including
curriculum, curriculum development, standards work, instructional
practices, resource adoption, professional learning, coaching,
educational technology, and learning spaces
- Work with faculty to regularly evaluate and revise curricula to
ensure academic rigor and relevance
- In partnership with the Principal, conduct informal classroom
observations, instructional supervisions, learning walks and
walkthroughs
- Gather and disaggregate classroom data for analysis and review
to inform best practices and school goals with faculty and
staff
- Hold individual meetings with students in need of additional
coaching to support their planning, organization, work completion,
communication and self-advocacy skills
- Collaborate with teachers in support of individual student
needs, sharing resources to support differentiation in the
classroom and communicate student progress towards individual
goalsRequirementsThe successful candidate will possess:
- Understanding of Catholic teachings and commitment to
supporting a faith-based learning environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability
to work effectively with students, staff, and outside professionals
in the field
- Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational trends
and research-based practices for elementary and secondary
instruction
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
and training opportunities
- Minimum of 3 years teaching in a K-8 school or other
leadership/curriculum based role
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field (required)
- Teaching Credential or Master's Degree in Education related
field preferredThis is a part-time position based on the full-time
annual salary range of $47,402 - $87,277 and will be prorated based
on percentage of hours worked for assigned responsibilities.
