Job Description:

Well established Agricultural Company is seeking a qualified Assistant Controller with a background of 5-7 yrs. in agricultural related business.

In this role, you will directly assist the Controller in these areas:

*Preparing budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.

*Scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

*Providing status of financial conditions by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data. *Preparing special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

*Complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation. *Measuring and optimizing working capital through the timing of purchases, payments, and cash receipts

*Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable

*Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed

*Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis

*Maintain an orderly accounting filing system

*Overseeing month end closing process, including journal entries, analysis, and reconciliations.

*Overseeing weekly cash management; approve weekly payables; execute check signing ? Provide financial analysis as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
