Position Requirements

Experience

Minimum of five years? experience in accounting

Preferably the ideal candidate would have a minimum of 3 years in Oil and Gas accounting with thorough knowledge of all aspects of accounting.

Education

Bachelor?s degree in accounting.

Position Summary

Responsible for utilizing accounting, industry and client-specific knowledge along with proprietary software to accurately and appropriately respond to the various routine and ad hoc accounting reports and projects, of multiple clients of the organization. Supervise and train accounting staff in order to efficiently serve clients.

Essential Functions

1. Assure accurate, complete and timely monthly closings for selected clients which meet the unique organizational requirements of each, including:

Journal entries

Account reconciliations

Operational reporting

Financial reporting

2. Coordinate and oversee the accounting processes for selected clients accurately, timely, and completely and in a manner that demonstrates a high level of customer responsiveness, including:

JIB processing

Revenue processing

Financial Statement preparation

3. Work with clients to solve accounting problems and issues unique to individual client

Job Specific Skills and Knowledge:

Proficient in Excel and accounting software

Proven ability to meet deadlines

Proven ability to effectively handle multiple assignments simultaneously

Capable of high productivity in deadline-driven accounting environment with requirement for extreme accuracy

Proven excellent customer service orientation and ability to interface in positive manner with internal and external customers at various organizational levels and from diverse cultures

Problem-solution orientation; good analytical skills
