Job Title:AVP, Financial EngineerLocation:CA - Westlake VillageWhat you'll do:AmeriHome Mortgage is looking for a Financial Engineer to join our Capital Market's Analytics Team. The Analytics team works closely with the firm's trading desk and is responsible for building and maintaining the firm's core financial and optimization models and providing analytical support for trading and hedging. In this role, a successful candidate can look forward to a progressive career path and continued professional growth.What we are looking for: --- Create, maintain and deliver quantitative processes including data mining, predictive modeling and other complex data processing--- Utilize complex quantitative software to manage the MSR/Early Buyout (EBO) portfolio and servicing positions, risk analysis, hedge strategies and market data--- Maintain, enhance existing financial models including prepayment, mortgage rate, delinquency etc. and develop new models/algorithms when needed--- Create, maintain, deliver monthly and quarterly analytical reports including valuation, risk, stress testing and model updateWhat you need to have: --- Requires either (i) an advanced degree in Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or some other technically rigorous curriculum or (ii) 0-5+ years of work experience in quantitative finance --- Previous support of trading desks or knowledge of fixed income trading, mortgage banking or correspondent lending, a plus --- Requires a strong background in C#, SQL Server, Excel and Excel VBA--- Experience with statistical analysis, including the use of tools like R or Python, a plus--- Experience manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources--- Affinity to innovate, disrupt and improve--- Demonstrated leadership and strong interpersonal skills --- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsCompensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $107,395.00 - $126,345.00 for Westlake Village, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location.
