of manufacturing requires detail planning in order to provide
instructions to production that are consistent with customer end
item requirements. Process planning includes a working knowledge of
shop practices, machine capabilities and a fundamental
understanding of outside processes. The manufacturing engineer will
work directly with production personnel, quality engineers and
suppliers to develop and fine tune process plans that meet customer
end item requirements. In this role, the Manufacturing engineer
will set direction and assist in engineering and manufacturing
process evaluations.What you'll be doing as a Manufacturing
Engineer:
- Work a Full-time, onsite position at our Chatsworth, California
location.
- Provide written work instructions.
- Provide detailed drawings and modes to augment work
instructions.
- Creates and executes process router, drawing, inspection plans
and other written documentation changes.
- A strong attention to detail is a must, as is a fundamental
understanding of the technical, financial, and physical demands of
the manufacturing process.
- Perform process evaluation for corrective action and product
development.
- Assists quoting team by providing methods, time estimates, and
cost data needed to complete customer quotations.
- Provides regular communication on the status of project tasks
and milestones to internal stakeholders.
- Participates in resolving customer complaints and conducts
corrective and preventive action investigations.
- Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the
needs of the business.Required Attributes:

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Education,
Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing
engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience with SolidWorks and geometric dimensioning and
tolerancing (GD&T) for component and tooling design.
- Experience in Design for Manufacturing/Assembly
- A fundamental understanding of machine shop practices is
required.
- A Minimum of 5 years of related experience in the machine shop
environment is required.
- Experience working with AS9100 regulations.
- Ability to read, interpret and implement customer drawing and
specification requirements.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products appropriate to
the execution of assigned tasks.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, tools,
and techniques.
- Experience in continuous improvement activities, lean
manufacturing, six sigma principles. Physical Demands: The physical

Environment: A large percentage of work time is spent in a machine
shop where temperatures vary from hot to cold. The environment may
also include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vapor from coolant,
etc. Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company,
and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is
required. Compensation and Benefits: Employee Benefits: Medical,
dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, long-term
disability and 401(k) with up to 6% QACA company match. The
Manufacturing Engineer Compensation range for onsite California
applicants is $110,000 - $119,00 annually commensurate with
experience. Some shifts may include shift differential pay rates.
