Job Description:

Director of Engineering opening in Kern County for local engineering firm. Base pay is 85 -145k DOE with potential yearly bonuses, vehicle, full paid benefits, and growth within the organization.

In this role the Director of Engineering is responsible for maintaining relationships between the customer, senior executives, colleagues, the public and public officials. Provide efficient customer service and communicate with people at all levels.

Will supervise contractors and employees in design and develop machinery, products, systems and processes. Responsible for ensuring the technical accuracy of work and the reliability of methods decided upon. May also supervise other engineers, technicians and administrative personnel.

Position requires knowledge of administrative and management principles. Works with budgeting, strategic planning, human resources and coordination of people and resources to complete current scope of contracted work.

Will oversee and lead all aspects of a project's management. Determine technical goals to be reached and coordinating the work of each employee and contractor until a project is completed. Updates higher levels of management, financial managers, marketing staff, contractors and equipment and material suppliers on the status of the project.
