About the Role As the inaugural Senior DevOps Engineer at Covet, you will drive the optimization and maintenance of our infrastructure, ensuring it supports our growing service. Leveraging your extensive experience, you'll design, implement, and manage cloud-based systems while leading efforts to enhance their scalability, reliability, and security. You'll work closely with a talented team to engineer robust, efficient, and high-performing environments for our applications. In this role, you'll streamline our CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment processes, and ensure the seamless operation of our website and mobile app, guaranteeing they are resilient, secure, and cutting-edge. In addition to your DevOps responsibilities, you will also oversee IT management for the company, ensuring that our internal systems, tools, and technology infrastructure are well-maintained, secure, and optimized to support our team's productivity and business operations.About You You are an experienced engineer and a strong operator with a proven ability to build robust, scalable infrastructure solutions. Your technical expertise is matched by an eye for detail, ensuring every aspect of system architecture and performance is optimized. You're well-versed in leveraging emerging technologies such as containerization, serverless computing, and AI/ML ops for efficient and reliable operations. With your strategic mindset, you drive cutting-edge DevOps practices and continuously enhance system performance, security, and reliability. As part of your IT management responsibilities, you ensure that company systems-such as office networks, employee hardware, and software tools-are configured, updated, and monitored for optimal performance and security. You have a collaborative spirit and strong communication skills, enabling you to work seamlessly across teams and mentor junior engineers. Above all, you're excited to build and maintain infrastructure that will support applications serving our community.Recommended Background

• Extensive experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles with a strong proficiency in AWS, including EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, VPC, Cloud Front, Lambda, Route 53, IAM, CloudWatch, ECR, Cognito etc.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and hands-on experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency in scripting languages and Linux/Unix system administration.
• Expertise in monitoring, logging, and performance tuning for large-scale systems.
• Experience with database administration and optimization.
• Strong background in automating and optimizing mission-critical deployments in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with SOC2 compliance and a passion for security best practices.
• IT management experience overseeing company infrastructure, networks, and internal systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and collaborate across engineering teams.
