Position Summary: The Surgical Tech is responsible for assisting with direct patient care activities in the Operating Room. Prepares and stocks the OR before and after surgery. gathers clean and sterile supplies. sets sterile instrument fields. maintains and monitors aseptic techniques. assists with the orientation of new staff. and participates on departmental committees. Candidates with years of experience equivalent to the Senior level may be considered for the Senior Technician role, with the salary range of $32.99-$41.02. What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of an accredited course in surgical technology
  • Completion of clinical training in an acute care perioperative setting, preferably in an academic medical center
  • Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, and understanding of medical terminology
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Possession of a national Scrub Technician certification
