XUNTOS is a warm, fun, & welcoming Tapas Bar in Downtown Santa Monica, with a space that feels like home.XUNTOS serves small plates of traditional Spanish dishes, from the farmer's market to Galicia, Asturias, Catalunya & the Basque Country, along with natural wines, Spanish twists on classic cocktails, vermouths, sherries & cold cervezas.We're hiring a Bartender with enthusiastic energy, a sense of teamwork, & a strong interest in natural wine. You'll ensure guests have an excellent experience by guiding them through the menu, maintaining service pace, & taking care of our space.Responsibilities include:

• Welcome guests & provide responsive, professional & gracious service.
• Be attentive to guest requests, dietary restrictions & allergies.
• Consistently prepare all beverages to XUNTOS's standards.
• Properly maintain the bar, including serving, clearing, marking & filling water.
• Develop knowledge & deep understanding of our food & drink menus.
• Work in support of the back-of-house to ensure all dishes are served according to XUNTOS's standards.
• Confidently & correctly serve wine.
• Control cash and other receipts.
• Promptly inform the Manager of service issues & guest complaints.
• Fill in where needed to ensure guest experience is never compromised.
• Perform Opening & Closing duties.
• Fully understand and comply with all health, safety and labor requirements.Requirements include:
  • Potential and ambition beyond this role.
  • Attend mandatory ongoing training sessions.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a service establishment.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of reservation management & point-of-sale systems.
  • Must be able to multitask in high volume and high-stress environments.
  • Self-directed approach to personal learning and development.Physical Requirements:
    • Manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
    • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and stretch. Can frequently lift up to 30 pounds, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, as well as work in a standing position for long periods of time.XUNTOS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
