This pivotal role will be vital to the success of future Cafe Knotted operations in the Southern California market and beyond.Job OverviewCafe Knotted is looking for passionate team members to lead the opening of its bakery production program. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a sense of professionalism. Some pastry experience is preferred, but not required.Responsibilities

• Assist the bakery production team in all aspects of production, including scaling, mixing, sheeting, shaping, proofing, frying, and baking.
• Execute all products with care and attention to detail according to training and company standards.
• Ensure proper inventory management and quality maintenance by monitoring product freshness and rotation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work space, adhering to Cafe Knotted operations and LA Department of Public Health sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with training new employees by sharing knowledge and resources.
• Follow tasks as instructed by managers and supervisors, ensuring responsibilities are met and exceeded.Requirements
  • At least 1 year of cooking experience, preferably in a full-service restaurant, bakery, or production kitchen.
  • Formal education in culinary arts, pastry, and/or bread making is preferred but not required.
  • Fundamental knowledge of relevant food preparation, ingredients, and techniques.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Highly organized, productive, and able to work meticulously in a professional work environment.Working Conditions
    • Requires moderate physical effort, including standing for 6-8 hours and lifting weights up to 35 pounds.
    • Working conditions involve noise, heat, cold, temperature changes, kitchen elements, odors, and exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
    • May be required to work additional hours as dictated by the workload and staffing.
